- Do I need a referral to see a TCM physician?
- No. You can book directly online, by phone or by WhatsApp. If you are under a doctor's care, bring your medication list or recent reports. Our physicians work alongside Western medicine and will tell you plainly if something should be checked by your GP or a specialist first.
- How much does a first visit cost?
- A first consultation is S$30 and takes about 30 minutes. If you choose treatment on the same day, acupuncture is from S$45, tuina from S$55 and herbal formulas from S$12 per day. Your physician quotes the fee before anything starts, and all prices include GST.
- Does acupuncture hurt?
- Most patients feel a brief pinch, then a dull heaviness or warmth around the point. We use fine, sterile, single-use needles, and you rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Tell your physician at any time if you are uncomfortable, and they will adjust or remove the needles.
- Can I take Chinese herbs with my Western medication?
- Often yes, but only after your physician has checked. Bring a list of everything you take, including supplements. Some herbs interact with blood thinners, diabetes or blood-pressure medicines, so we adjust the formula, space the doses apart, or suggest a treatment that does not use herbs.
- Can I claim TCM treatment on my insurance?
- Many corporate and personal plans in Singapore cover treatment by registered TCM physicians. We give an itemised receipt with the physician's name and registration details at every visit. Check your plan's annual limit and whether herbs are included, as some plans cover only acupuncture and tuina.
- Which languages do your physicians speak?
- All our physicians speak English and Mandarin. Between them we also cover Cantonese and Hokkien, which many of our older patients prefer. Mention your language when you book and we will match you with the right physician. Family members are always welcome to join the consultation.
