What file should I send?

A PDF with 3 mm bleed on every side, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300 dpi and text kept 5 mm inside the trim. CMYK is best for digital printing. For riso jobs, put each ink colour on its own layer. If you are unsure, send what you have and we will check it free.

How much do name cards cost?

What is risograph printing, and why choose it?

A risograph is a stencil duplicator that prints one bright ink at a time, like a fast screen print. It gives fluorescent colours, soft grain and slight misregistration that digital printers cannot copy. It suits zines, art prints, menus and invitations from 25 copies, and its soy-based inks are kinder than toner.

Do you deliver, and how much does it cost?

Yes. Island-wide courier delivery is S$12 per address and free for orders above S$150 before GST. Standard jobs arrive the working day after printing. For urgent same-day jobs we can book a two-hour courier from S$25, or you can collect free from our Kallang Bahru counter.

Will I see a proof before you print?

Always. We email a PDF proof, usually within 30 minutes during opening hours, showing trim, bleed and any fixes we suggest. Nothing goes to press until you reply to approve it. For larger runs or new paper stocks, we can print a hard-copy proof for S$10, credited back when you order.

Halftone Press started in 2011 with one second-hand risograph and a guillotine in a Kallang Bahru unit. Joanne trained as a graphic designer and Faizal ran a print floor in Tai Seng for twelve years. They wanted a shop that printed fast without printing badly.

Today the team of nine runs riso, digital and wide-format presses side by side, so a café can get menus, stickers and a banner from one counter, in one afternoon.
