  • Exercises you can do at home. Two or three to start, with photos, sets and repetitions on one page.
  • A plan with a review date.Your physiotherapist suggests a number of sessions, says why, and reviews progress with you. You can stop at any time.

The team

A physiotherapist steadies a woman's arms as she pulls a teal exercise band, with an anatomy chart on the wall behind

A plumb line is a weight on a string. On your first visit we hang one beside you, and it shows one thing plainly: where vertical is, and where you are.

That is how I wanted this clinic to work. Measure first. Explain what we see in plain words. Then agree a plan you can keep up between appointments.

So first visits here are a full hour, and you see the same physiotherapist each time. We open at 7.30 in the morning for runners and office workers, and we stay open until 9 at night.

If what we find needs a doctor or a scan, we will tell you and write to your GP. If you would rather not continue, that is your call. You pay per session.

Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral? No. You can book a first visit directly. Some insurance plans and company benefits only pay with a doctor's referral, so check your policy before you come. If what we find needs a doctor or a scan, we will tell you and can write to your GP.

What happens at the first visit? Your first visit is 60 minutes, one to one. We talk through your history, test how you move, treat where it helps and teach you two or three exercises. You leave with a written plan, a suggested number of sessions and a date to review progress together.

How much does physiotherapy cost here? A first visit is S$130 for 60 minutes and a follow-up is S$105 for 45 minutes. A running assessment is S$190 and after-surgery sessions are S$125. All prices include 9% GST. You pay per session; we do not sell packages.

Can I claim from insurance or use CHAS? We can issue itemised receipts for insurance claims. Whether your plan pays, and whether it needs a doctor's referral, depends on your insurer, so check with them first. Plumbline is a private clinic and is not part of CHAS, so CHAS subsidies do not apply here.

Do you see people after surgery? Yes. We see people after ACL reconstruction, shoulder repair and hip or knee replacement. Bring your surgeon's notes and rehab protocol to the first visit. We follow that protocol, and with your consent we send progress notes to your surgeon.

How many sessions will I need? It depends on what we find, how long you have had it and what you want to get back to, so we cannot say before we have assessed you. At the end of the first visit your physiotherapist suggests a number of sessions, explains why and sets a review date. You can stop at any time.
